Great news. Cadet Winton is returning this year with a slightly modified format and the South East – England Fencing region are pleased to announce that we will be sending 6 teams to this competition. Unlike previous years this is a non-residential event and this is a U18 event (fencers born 2003 or later). Each event will now run on a single day with the FOIL on the 18th Dec, EPEE on the 19th Dec and SABRE on the 20th Dec at Millfield School, Street. If you would like to be considered for selection please indicate your interest now. Full selection details, costs, dates etc are detailed here. Selections will be made from those who indicate an interest so you need to indicate an interest to be considered for selection. We very much look forward to the return of Cadet Winton and we encourage you to indicate your interest now.
Regional Championships
We are inviting clubs and county organisations to come forward and volunteer to run one of our regional events in the 2020/21 season and/or 2021/22.
The region takes a levy of up to £5.00 per fencer, which is used to help pay for Cadet Winton, Winton and Senior Winton entries, as well as any hub day activities run by the South East Committee (eg Coach or Referee Development).
Events can be run separately, or combined. Decisions will be made by the committee, based on the quality of the event suggested and/or the location. Ideally, events will move from year to year and be to a high standard.
2020/21 Season
All events to take place in August on either 7/8th August / 14/15th August or 21st/22nd August 2021.
